You're bearded dragon should be fed very frequently, and you should know it can be a very complicated eating schedule. I will go into detail about their eating schedule in this post. Younger BDs grow SUPER quick and need a ton of protein. That's why you should feed them quite a lot of crickets, Dubia roaches, etc. every day. But we are going to be focusing on Adult BDs in this thread. Adults should be fed once a day. Try to feed a split of 75% vegetables, greens and fruits and 25% insects and invertebrates. It is incredibly important to give your BD different types and variations of food. This keeps them interested in their food and not bored whenever you feed them. Here is a chart I found on the web that fits an Adult BD's feeding schedule. Make sure you chop up any fruits or veggies before you feed them to your BD. If your BD does not eat their food make sure to remove it from their enclosure, because it could spoil. Most adult BDs are really good eaters and shouldn't really care what you feed them, unless you've been feeding them the same food over and over again. So there is your Adult BD eating schedule. Just remember to vary their foods or they will get bored. Thanks. BDD

Aren't bearded dragons highly prone to parasites when you feed them crickets?

Aren't bearded dragons highly prone to parasites when you feed them crickets? It's not very common for bearded dragons to contract parasites from crickets that are farm raised and sold by reputable cricket breeders and pet stores, but when you catch wild crickets, you may be introducing parasites into your pet's enclosure and his diet.
